North Carolina’s Mission Hospital Names Former Mayo Clinic Executive Carlton Rider Interim CEO

Mission Hospital and Health System in Asheville, N.C., has named Carlton Rider, a former executive of Mayo Clinic, as its interim CEO and president, according to a release from the hospital.

Mr. Rider will step in for retiring CEO Joe Damore, who will leave on Jan. 31, while the health system searches for a permanent replacement, according to the release.

Mr. Rider served for 31 years at Mayo Clinic in various roles, including administrator of the Jacksonville, Fla., facility, according to the release.
