Asheboro, N.C.-based Randolph Health named Kevin Spiegel its CEO, effective June 2.
Randolph Health, a member of Roanoke, Va.-based American Healthcare Systems, announced the appointment in a June 3 news release.
Mr. Spiegel most recently served as CEO of Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, and previously led Vista Health System in Waukegan, Ill. Earlier in his career, he was president and CEO of Erlanger Health System, a seven-hospital organization in Chattanooga, Tenn., and CEO of Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Dr. Michael Sarian, chairman and CEO of American Healthcare Systems, pointed to Mr. Spiegel’s record in operations and hospital turnaround in naming him to the role.
Randolph Health employs nearly 1,200 people across an acute care hospital, specialty physician practices, a heart and vascular institute, home health services, a senior care/PACE program, orthopedic and sports medicine, and a freestanding MRI center.
