Here are four things to know about Ms. Carter.
1. She has been serving as interim CEO for Niswonger Children’s Hospital since September.
2. Previously, she was vice president and CNO of Niswonger Children’s Hospital and of Johnson City Medical Center.
3. She recently led the JCMC trauma department to successful state re-designation for level 1 services with commendations, according to The Greeneville Sun.
4. Ms. Carter earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Cookeville-based Tennessee Technological University and earned a master’s degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. She is currently enrolled in ETSU’s nursing PhD program.
