Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health has appointed Melissa Gardner as president and COO of its clinically integrated network, effective Jan. 25.

Ms. Gardner will oversee strategy and performance for the network, working alongside the system’s COO and chief medical officer to improve care coordination, boost provider alignment and expand innovative risk-based models.

Most recently, she served as executive vice president and chief population health officer at Lifetime Healthcare Companies, where she oversaw care for more than 1.5 million members and developed clinical programs that generated more than $1.5 billion in gross savings.

“The Clinically Integrated Network is uniquely positioned to drive meaningful improvements in patient experience, population health and value,” Ms. Gardner said in a Dec. 15 news release. “I look forward to partnering with clinicians, leaders, payers and community organizations as we continue building innovative models of care for our region.”

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
