Darlene Stromstad, president and CEO of Utica, N.Y.-based Mohawk Valley Health System, plans to retire in late 2025.
Under her leadership, Mohawk Valley opened Wynn Hospital in Utica and implemented a new EHR system, according to a March 24 health system news release shared with Becker’s. She has also played a pivotal role in the expansion of its residency program.
Ms. Stromstad has led the system since 2019, according to her LinkedIn profile. She was CEO of Greater Waterbury (Conn.) Health Network from 2011 to 2017 and has held executive leadership roles at multiple organizations.
Mohawk Valley Health System includes Wynn Hospital, which opened in 2023 with 373 beds, as well as rehabilitation, primary care and outpatient services.
