Julie Kline was appointed chief human resources officer of Erie County Medical Center Corp., a Buffalo, N.Y.-based organization that operates a 573-bed advanced academic medical center.
Ms. Kline joins ECMC from MercyOne/Trinity Health, North Iowa, where she served as CHRO, according to a May 27 hospital news release.
Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health acquired Iowa-based MercyOne in 2022.
During her tenure, Ms. Kline reduced voluntary turnover, conducted statewide leadership training to more than 500 MercyOne leaders, and supported Trinity Health in building a national pilot designed to support students and acclimate them into nursing, according to the release.
Before her MercyOne role, she was appointed CHRO at Minneapolis-based North Memorial Health in January 2023.
Erie County Medical Center Corp. includes the academic medical center as well as on- and off-campus health centers, more than 30 outpatient specialty care services and a 390-bed long-term care facility.
