New Jersey hospital taps chief nursing officer

Paramus, N.J.-based Bergen New Bridge Medical Center named Karine Austin, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer.

In this role, she will set the strategic direction for nursing, innovate across the care delivery model and empower nurses to shape how the hospital delivers care, according to a Sept. 9 hospital Facebook post. 

She most recently served as deputy chief nursing officer at New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens.
