Littleton (N.H.) Regional Healthcare named Richard McKenzie, DO, chief medical officer.
Dr. McKenzie has served as interim CMO since May, according to a March 5 hospital news release. He will continue to assist with integration planning for the hospital’s proposed affiliation with Lebanon-N.H.-based Dartmouth Health. He will also be responsible for clinical leadership and medical staff engagement, continuous development and monitoring of quality, patient safety and performance improvement initiatives.
In addition to his leadership role, he will continue to practice family medicine on a part-time basis.
Dr. McKenzie spent nearly a decade in the manufacturing industry before transitioning to medicine. He joined the hospital in 2014 as medical staff and has held several leadership positions since then.
