Allen Golson, the recently appointed CEO of Ocala (Fla.) Health System was killed in a plane crash Friday, according to an Ocala Star-Banner report.
Mr. Golson was piloting the plane, which crashed south of Middle Georgia Regional Airport in Macon, Ga. Mr. Golson and his wife were the only passengers; she survived with a few injuries. Officials have yet to determine the cause of the crash.
Mr. Golson's appointment as Ocala Health's CEO was announced earlier this month. The leadership transition was set to complete on Feb. 20.
