New CEO of Georgia’s Walton Regional Medical Center Begins Work

JT Barnhart began work Monday as the new CEO of Walton Regional Medical Center in Monroe, Ga., according to a report by The Walton Tribune.

Mr. Barnhart comes to Walton Regional from Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas, where he served as COO since August 2009. He also spent almost four years as associate administrator of Midwest Regional Medical Center in Midwest City, Okla.

Mr. Barnhart succeeds Gary Lang, who moved to a similar executive position at a sister hospital in Florida earlier this year. According to the report, he plans to focus on physician recruitment during his time at Walton Regional.
