New CEO Appointed at Missouri Hospital

Sisters of Mercy Health System has appointed Gary Pulsipher as the president and CEO of its recently acquired St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., according to a report by the St. Louis Business Journal.

St. John’s will transfer from Catholic Health Initiatives to Sisters of Mercy later this year, according to the report. Mr. Pulsipher will officially begin his new position after the transfer is completed.

Mr. Pulsipher previously served as president and CEO of Columbus (Neb.) Community Hospital and administrator of Silverton (Ore.) Hospital. He has also served as president and CEO at St. John’s Hospital in Lebanon, Mo., and as regional vice president at St. John’s Health System.
