Nemours Children's promotes 4 leaders: 4 things to know

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Children's Health System has promoted multiple employees.

Here are four things to know about the promotions.

1. Gina Altieri has been named senior vice president and chief of strategy integration. She previously was enterprise vice president responsible for strategic planning, information services, clinical informatics and analytics, marketing and communication, and the operation of the Nemours Mansion and Gardens estate museum. In her new role, she is also responsible for strategy integration, digital health, Nemours Children's Health Media (KidsHealth) and Nemours BrightStart!, a program that promotes reading success.

2. Stephen Lawless, MD, has been named senior vice president and chief clinical officer. In his role, he is responsible for quality and safety, which includes patient, environmental and associate infection control, clinical outcomes and risk management, as well as Nemours Clinical Management Program. Prior to this role, he was enterprise vice president responsible for quality and safety. In his new role, Dr. Lawless has additional responsibility for research, academic affairs and the office of human subject protection.

3. Mariane Stefano has been named senior vice president and chief experience officer. In her new role, she will expand service excellence across Nemours and lead initiatives to bring greater value to patients and families preparing Nemours for implementation of pediatric Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems in addition to continuous improvement. She previously was enterprise vice president of service and operational excellence and enterprise continuous improvement. 

4. Debbie Chang has been named senior vice president of child health policy and prevention. She previously was enterprise vice president in that role. She is responsible for leveraging Nemours' expertise and experience to spread what works through national policy and practice changes to improve the health and well-being of children nationwide, according to the health system. She also co-directs Moving Health Care Upstream, a national collaborative network to test, develop and spread innovative population health strategies.
