Ned Resch has resigned as president and CEO of Scottsbluff, Neb.-based Regional West Health Services.

Mr. Resch had led the organization since March 2025, according to a Nov. 3 news release from Regional West, which is the parent company of Regional West Medical Center.

Tim Osterholm was appointed acting CEO, according to the release. He also serves as interim COO of Regional West Physicians Clinic.

Mr. Osterholm has more than three decades of healthcare leadership experience, previously serving as region vice president of oncology services for Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health’s Mountain Region.

“Regional West has been fortunate to have two exceptional leaders in Ned and Tim,” John Massey, chair of the Regional West Health Services board, said in the release. “While we wish Ned the best in his new venture, we are excited to have someone of Tim’s caliber stepping in to seamlessly lead the organization.”

Mr. Resch will remain in an advisory role and focus on special projects through mid-January.

“Regional West will always hold a special place in my family’s story. Our goal was to move here and establish deep community connections for the long term,” he said in the release. “However, sometimes life takes unexpected turns, and opportunities arise that must be embraced. We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome the community has extended to us, and we wish everyone the best as we move forward.”
