Mr. Gandhi is executive vice president and chief population health officer of Mount Sinai. He succeeds Donald Scanlon, who will leave his position later this year after 17 years with Mount Sinai.

Mr. Gandhi has served as chief population health officer since 2015.

In that role, he has directed the health system’s population health strategy and led its transition from a fee-for-service reimbursement model to one based on the quality of care provided, Mount Sinai said. He also has led the health system’s eight-hospital clinically integrated network, Mount Sinai Health Partners.

Before Mr. Gandhi joined Mount Sinai, he was a partner in the health and life sciences consulting practice of global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman.
