Missouri system taps chief medical officer

Springfield, Mo.-based Jordan Valley Health named Clint Strong, MD, chief medical officer, Springfield News-Leader reported June 2.

Dr. Strong will provide clinical and strategic leadership across all medical specialties and work closely with Ashley Popejoy, DDS, chief dental officer, to expand the system’s integrated care model. He stepped into this role June 1.

“Jordan Valley Health has been my professional home for over 13 years, and I’m honored to step into the role of chief medical officer,” Dr. Strong said in a community announcement. “I’ve been blessed to work alongside incredible providers, care teams and staff who are deeply committed to serving our patients and communities. I’m excited to continue building on that mission.”
