Joplin, Mo.-based Freeman Health System has named Michael Herr vice president and market COO for its Missouri and Kansas market, effective May 18.
Mr. Herr brings COO experience and expertise in analytics, operations, management and healthcare improvement, according to a May 6 health system news release.
He has held executive leadership roles at Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health, Springdale, Ark.-based Northwest Health System and Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy, according to his LinkedIn profile. He most recently served as COO of Mercy Hospital Joplin, a role he has held since November 2020.
Freeman Health System operates four hospitals, two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and Ozark Center, the area’s largest behavioral health services provider.
