Tina Gillespie plans to step down Oct. 3 as CEO of Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany, Mo., a hospital spokesperson confirmed to Becker’s.
Ms. Gillespie has accepted “an opportunity to continue serving rural Missouri healthcare in a different capacity,” the spokesperson said in a Sept. 14 statement.
The hospital’s board appointed Nikki Hendren to serve as interim CEO, effective Oct. 3. Ms. Hendren has served as COO since April 2023, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Ms. Gillespie has served as CEO since January 2017 and joined the hospital as COO in 2016, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Harrison County Community Hospital remains focused on continuity of care and operations throughout the leadership transition, the spokesperson said.
