Richmond, Mo.-based Ray County Hospital and Healthcare has named Geoffrey Mandala CFO.

Mr. Mandala joins the critical access hospital with 12 years of finance experience, including eight years in healthcare leadership, according to a May 27 news release. He most recently served as CFO of Crossing Rivers Health, a critical access hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wis.

He said in the release that he believes rural hospitals can be financially healthy and sustainable.

“A financially strong hospital means the ability to reinvest in our staff, our equipment and our facilities, which ultimately translates to better care for the community,” he said. “By making a point to round regularly and be present with staff, we create a collaborative approach where finance is a true partner to clinical and operational teams, making the whole organization stronger.”
