Mississippi system names COO

Tupelo-based North Mississippi Health Services appointed Shawn Morrow as COO, effective Aug. 31.

Mr. Morrow will provide executive leadership for system operations across the organization’s eight hospitals, as well as its clinics, service lines and joint ventures, according to a July 13 health system news release.

He most recently served as president of UnityPoint Health Quad Cities in Iowa and Illinois, where he led a $760 million regional health system with four acute care hospitals and five joint venture entities.

Mr. Morrow has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, serving as CEO, president and administrator for independent hospitals and integrated health systems. His experience includes overseeing multihospital systems, outpatient networks and specialty service lines.
