The new pay plan sets physician annual base salaries at $225,000. The physicians would be paid more for meeting pre-determined productivity levels. Potential salaries range from $235,139 to $301,043.
UHD administrator Jeff Lang said the rural hospital must offer competitive salaries to attract quality physicians, according to the report.
Physicians would also be able to earn an extra $25,000 for attaining “five initiatives” to be outlined by the board. The compensation plan is effective Jan. 1, 2010 through Dec. 31, 2011.
