Lawrence Barco Retires as CEO of MidMichigan Med Center-Clare

Lawrence Barco, president and CEO of MidMichigan Medical Center-Clare in Clare, has announced his retirement, effective June 30.

Mr. Barco has held the position of president and CEO of MidMichigan Medical Center-Clare since February 1986. During his tenure, the hospital acquired several properties adjacent to the hospital’s location and expanded its campus significantly.

Raymond Stover, who serves as president of MidMichigan Medical Center-Gladwin in Gladwin, will succeed Mr. Barco. Mr. Stover has been a MidMichigan employee since 1990. Before serving as CEO of MidMichigan’s Gladwin location, he served the Clare hospital as vice president and CFO from 2004 to 2007. Prior to his position in Clare, Stover was associated with MidMichigan Medical Center–Midland as a management analyst, cost/budget manager and accountant.
