MidHudson hires associate executive director of operations: 5 things to know

Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based MidHudson Regional Hospital, a member of the WMCHealth network, has hired Damon deChamplain as associate executive director of operations. 

Here are five things to know about Mr. deChamplain.

1. In his new role, Mr. deChamplain will lead all internal hospital operations.

2. He has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration.

3. He comes to MidHudson Regional Hospital after spending more than three years as director of patient experience for the Western Connecticut Health Network in New Milford. 

4. Previously, he was vice president of support services at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. from 2008- to 2011 following work with Crothall Services Group in Wayne, Pa., the Norwalk Hospital Corporation in Norwalk, Conn. and Aramark Corp. in Philadelphia.

5. He is a certified health facility manager as designated by the American Society of Healthcare Engineering and successfully completed the executive program of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
