Mercy Health Muskegon President Greg Loomis to retire: 5 things to know

Here are five things to know:

1. Mr. Loomis has served as president of the hospital since Jan. 1, 2014. Prior to that, he was interim president for one year.

2. He began his healthcare career at Hackley Community Hospital in Muskegon more than 30 years ago.

3. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

4. During his tenure as Mercy Health Muskegon president, the hospital broke ground on a $271 million medical center, which is the first step in consolidating the existing three hospital campuses.

5. The hospital has started a national search for Mr. Loomis’ successor.
