MemorialCare names CFO for 2 hospitals

MemorialCare’s Long Beach (Calif.) Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach has named Patti Pilgrim as its new CFO.

Ms. Pilgrim succeeds Yair Katz, who was recently named CEO of Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach and senior vice president of pediatrics of MemorialCare.

As CFO, Ms. Pilgrim will provide strategic financial planning and decision guidance to the executive team at Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s, MemorialCare said in a July 27 news release. She has more than 30 years of finance executive experience with a background in nonprofit hospitals and health systems.

Most recently, Ms. Pilgrim served as regional CFO for Providence St. Joseph Health’s Northern California region.
