The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee inaugurated Shekar Kurpad, MD, PhD, as its seventh president and CEO Sept. 17.
Dr. Kurpad has more than two decades of service at MCW at the academic medical center and medical school, according to a Sept. 18 news release.
He succeeded John Raymond, Sr., MD, who served as MCW’s president and CEO for 16 years.
Medical College of Wisconsin is one of the nation’s top-performing academic medical centers and the third-largest private medical school in the country, according to the release.
