Medical City Healthcare appoints CEO for 2 hospitals: 5 things to know

Dallas-based Medical City Healthcare named Carlton Ulmer CEO of Medical City Plano (Texas) and Medical City Frisco (Texas), effective July 22.

Medical City Frisco is a campus of Medical City Plano.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. Ulmer has worked at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, the parent company of Medical City Healthcare, for the last 18 years.

2. He most recently served as CEO of West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.

3. He also has served as CEO of Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, Fla.

4. He holds an MBA from Troy State University in Atlanta.

5. Mr. Ulmer succeeds Charles Gressle, who was promoted to chief administrative officer of the East Florida division of HCA Healthcare.
