A pediatrician by training, Dr. Linton helped establish Mayo Clinic Health System in northwest Wisconsin. He practiced for more than 20 years. Mayo Clinic will likely name his successor in January 2017, and Dr. Linton will help ensure a smooth transition until April.
“Mayo Clinic Health System in northwest Wisconsin has thrived under Dr. Linton’s leadership,” said Bobbie Gostout, MD, vice president, of Mayo Clinic in a statement. “He and his team have built an organization that is a healthcare leader within the region, with a strong patient focus, sound business practices and clear focus on serving communities in the region. He leaves northwest Wisconsin well-positioned for his successor, and we thank him for his many years of outstanding service.”
