Mass General Brigham in Somerville, Mass., has promoted Chenzhe Cao to the new role of director of AI literacy and acceleration.
Mr. Cao announced the promotion in a June 18 LinkedIn post.
“As generative AI becomes increasingly embedded across clinical and operational workflows across our health system, helping our workforce build foundational knowledge, critical thinking, and practical skills to engage with these technologies thoughtfully and responsibly has never been more important,” he wrote.
Before the promotion, Mr. Cao served as principal technology strategist for the health system.
The role comes as Mass General Brigham has introduced several positions over the last year to support AI adoption. Jane Moran, chief information and digital officer at the health system, told Becker’s that some of the newly created roles include a director of AI governance and literacy and AI technical product managers.
At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
