Mark Slyter Named CEO of Mississippi’s Baptist Health System

Mark F. Slyter, COO and hospital president for Baptist Health Systems in Jackson, Miss., has been named CEO, according to a health system news release.

Mr. Slyter replaces Kurt W. Metzner, who will be retiring Sept. 1. Mr. Slyter, who joined Baptist Health more than two years ago, has served in leadership positions at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Hillcrest Memorial Hospital in Simpsonville, S.C.
