Lowell General Hospital President and CEO Appointed President-Elect of Massachusetts Hospital Association

Normand E. Deschene, CEO and president of Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Mass., has been sworn in as president-elect of the Massachusetts Hospital Association for the 2010-2011 term, according to a Lowell press release.

Mr. Deschene is a long-standing member of the MHA, a voluntary, not-for-profit organization made up of hospitals, health systems and other organizations with a common interest in promoting patient health. He is an active member of the American Hospital Association, Hospital Financial Management Association and Healthcare Management Association of Massachusetts and was named ACHE “Massachusetts Healthcare Executive of the Year” in 2006.
