Troy Greer has resigned as president and CEO of Albuquerque, N.M.-based Lovelace Health System after two years in the role.

Michael Kueker, CEO of Lovelace Medical Group, has been named interim CEO, according to a June 18 health system news release shared with Becker’s. No reason was given for Greer’s resignation.

Lovelace Medical Center CEO Brian Miller will take on additional responsibilities as interim CEO of Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital, the release said.

Mr. Greer’s departure marks the five-hospital system’s fourth CEO change in three years. He assumed the role in December 2023, succeeding David Shultz, who served less than a year.

Mr. Shultz had succeeded Janelle Raborn, who was named CEO in February 2022 and retired 10 months later. Ms. Raborn had spent nearly 40 years with the system and succeeded Ron Stern, who retired in 2022 after serving as president and CEO since 2005.

Before taking the helm at Lovelace Health System, Mr. Greer was president and CEO of Columbia, Mo.-based Boone Health from 2020 to 2023. He previously served as CEO of Lovelace Westside Hospital from 2007 to 2012, and CEO of Lovelace Medical Center and Heart Hospital of New Mexico from 2012 to 2020.

In addition to its five hospitals, Lovelace operates 33 healthcare clinics and seven outpatient therapy clinics.
