Robert Peltzer was appointed CEO of Springhill (La.) Medical Center, according to a May 20 Facebook post from the hospital.
Mr. Peltzer brings more than 26 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role, including 17 years in C-suite positions spanning inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory surgical operations, according to the post.
Most recently, he served as chief administrative officer of Mansfield, La.-based DeSoto Regional Health System, where he oversaw strategic planning, policy development and operational initiatives. He also previously held CEO and COO roles in the U.S. Air Force, overseeing medical operations, compliance programs and large healthcare teams.
