Louisiana health system names new marketing chief

Opelousas (La.) General Health System has a new marketing leader.

Daryl Cetnar was named director of marketing at the two-hospital system effective June 24. He most recently ran his own marketing and communications firm, DC 23.

“His extensive experience and proven track record in marketing and public relations will be invaluable to our health system,” Opelousas General President and CEO Lance Armentor said in a July 1 statement. “With over 25 years in the field, he brings a wealth of knowledge and innovative strategies that will enhance our communication efforts and strengthen our connection with the community.”

Prior to DC 23, Mr. Cetnar served as system director of public relations and regional director of communications at New Orleans-based Ochsner Health and director of communications at Lafayette (La.) General Health.
