University of Virginia Cancer Center Appoints Dr. Thomas Loughran Director

The University of Virginia Cancer Center in Charlottesville has announced the appointment of Thomas Loughran Jr., MD, as the center’s new director, effective Aug. 15.

Most recently, Dr. Loughran served as the founding director of the Penn State Hershey (Pa.) Cancer Institute and as a professor of medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pa.
