Mr. Turney joined Kingman Regional Medical Center as an administrative resident in April 1985 and became interim CEO in August 1994. He was appointed the hospital’s permanent president and CEO in February 1995.
During his tenure as CEO, the hospital became a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, a group of independent health systems that have access to Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic’s resources and expertise.
Mr. Turney served for eight years on the board of directors of the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association, including one year as chairman. He received the American Hospital Association’s Arizona Grassroots Champion Award for his healthcare advocacy efforts in 2017.
