Kern Medical Center names new CFO

Andrew Cantu has been named the new CFO of Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, Calif., and he will assume his role Feb. 9, according to a BakersfieldNow report.

Mr. Cantu has more than 20 years of hospital accounting experience. He will be leaving his position as CFO of Mercy Hospitals in Bakersfield to take on his role as Kern Medical Center’s finance leader.

The contract for KernMedicalCenter’s former CFO Sandra Martin expired in August 2014, and there has been an interim CFO in place since then.
