Mr. Moore will succeed David R. Stire, who announced in June his plan to retire at the end of the year.
Mr. Moore has spent his entire 27-year healthcare career at JPMC, beginning as a junior accountant in 1987. In 2001, Mr. Moore assumed his current position of CFO and vice president of finance. His responsibilities have included financial and strategic planning, budgeting and reporting for JPMC, as well as Jane Phillips Nowata (Okla.) Health Center and the JPMC-managed hospitals in Pawhuska and Sedan, Kan.
“I am both honored and humbled by the board’s decision,” Moore said. “I look forward to transitioning into this new role and leading an outstanding healthcare organization.”
