Peta-Ann Anderson, DNP, RN, has started a new role as vice president and chief nursing officer of Miami-based Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Anderson shared the leadership move in an Oct. 12 LinkedIn post, saying she is continuing her career within Miami-based Jackson Health System. Before joining Jackson Health System, Dr. Anderson served as a director at HCA from October 2005 to August 2018.

Jackson Memorial is the flagship of Jackson Health System, a public network that includes seven hospitals and two long-term care nursing facilities. The campus’s chief nursing officer role oversees nursing and clinical operations across Jackson Memorial and affiliated entities, including Miami-based Holtz Children’s Hospital and The Women’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial.

The appointment comes as Jackson’s top leadership is also changing. David Zambrana, DNP, RN, the system’s president and COO, was selected to succeed Carlos Migoya as CEO, making him one of 51 nurses named hospital or health system CEO or president this year.
