Anacortes, Wash.-based Island Health has named Paul Vachek as CFO.
Mr. Vachek joins Island Health from Phoenix, Ariz.-based Banner Health, where he served as CFO for several facilities, including Mesa, Ariz.-based Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa-based Banner Children’s Medical Center, and Glendale, Ariz.-based Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, according to a July 30 news release.
He joins Island Health with more than two decades of healthcare finance leadership experience, according to the release. He has established a track record of strengthening hospital financial performance while prioritizing patient care, having led organizations through margin turnarounds, capital expansion initiatives and revenue-cycle enhancements.
