Idaho’s Gritman Medical Center Names Interim Leader Following Death of CEO

Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Idaho, has named Kara Besst interim CEO following the death of president and CEO Jeff Martin in a car accident Sunday night, according to a hospital news release.

Mr. Martin had worked at Gritman Medical Center for 10 years. According to the release, the continued success of daily operations at Gritman is due to Mr. Martin’s “ability to empower the staff.”

Ms. Besst starts work as interim CEO effective immediately. She has worked at Gritman for 16 years and has served in her current role as CFO for 10 years.
