Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Cody previously served as chairman of Hunterdon’s board. He was a board member for nine years.
2. A cardiologist, he has held senior executive positions with a number of pharmaceutical companies, including Merck and Johnson & Johnson.
3. He has also served as associate chief of the cardiovascular disease division and director of the Heart Failure & Transplant Management Program at Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine.
4. Dr. Cody is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and holds an MBA from Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan.
5. He replaces Robert P. Wise, who retired June 30.
