Todd LaPorte, CEO of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based HonorHealth, will transition from his role in March 2027 after more than 10 years of leadership.
John Neil, MD, the system’s existing executive vice president, chief physician executive and chief strategy officer, will succeed Mr. LaPorte, according to a June 16 news release.
Under the transition, Dr. Neil will become president immediately, assuming the role of CEO on March 1, 2027. Mr. LaPorte will serve as CEO until then, and become strategic advisor to the CEO afterward.
Mr. LaPorte will maintain his focus on community impact, key initiatives and healthcare advocacy in his role as strategic advisor to the CEO.
Under Mr. LaPorte’s leadership, HonorHealth has expand its care locations and services, supported recovery and stabilized operations for area hospitals in distress, strengthened clinical and quality outcomes for patients, improved its financial performance and long-term sustainability, elevated its HonorHealth Research Institute, navigated the pandemic and deepened its commitment to community health initiatives, outreach and partnerships, the release said.
