Mr. Silverman will transition to Madison River Oaks in the next 30 days. HMA plans to appoint a new CEO to Central Mississippi Medical Center by the end of the month. Mr. Silverman takes over from interim CEO David Richards, who was promoted to vice president of community and government relations for a division that includes 10 hospitals in Mississippi and Florida.
