Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital names chief hospital and nursing executive: 3 things to know

Henry Ford West Bloomfield (Mich.) Hospital has promoted Karen Harris, RN, to chief nursing and operations executive.

Ms. Harris has been at HenryFordWestBloomfieldHospital for nearly seven years in various nursing leadership positions. Most recently, she has been vice president of patient care services and CNO.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Harris.

1. Ms. Harris played a key role in the opening of Henry Ford West Bloomfield in 2009.

2. Ms. Harris is president of the national Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

3. Ms. Harris is the recipient of several awards, including the Nightingale Award in Education and Research by Oakland University. Nightingale awards are given for nursing excellence.
