Deirdre Salanger has been appointed COO of Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., part of University of Rochester Medical Center, effective July 21.
Ms. Salanger currently serves as vice president of operations at the 877-bed Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, according to a May 5 news release from Strong Memorial.
She will succeed Kathy Parrinello, who became president and CEO of Strong Memorial and Highland Hospital in Rochester in 2024 while managing COO responsibilities at Strong Memorial.
In her new role, Ms. Salanger will oversee clinical departments, patient-care services and capital improvement projects.
