HCA Texas hospital names chief nurse

Effective Aug. 18, Paulette Woodard, DNP, RN, will step in as chief nursing officer at North Richland Hills, Texas-based Medical City North Hills. 

The 164-bed level three trauma center is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare. Dr. Woodard previously served as associate chief nursing officer of Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant in San Antonio, also part of HCA. 

There, she oversaw efforts to improve quality and safety training in the emergency department and enhance hiring practices to attract new nurses, according to an Aug. 14 news release shared with Becker’s.
