HCA hospital names chief medical officer

HCA Midwest Health has named Lowell Ebersole, DO, chief medical officer of Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. 

Dr. Ebersole joins Research Medical Center — a 590-bed level 1 trauma center – from Wesley Healthcare in Wichita, Kan., which is also an HCA affiliate. There, he spent six years as CMO, overseeing efforts to enhance quality and safety, and the launch of graduate medical education programs, according to an Oct. 1 news release shared with Becker’s.

HCA Midwest Health operates seven hospitals and a network of ambulatory services, including clinics, surgery centers and physician practices throughout the Kansas City region. It is part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
