Dr. Barnett previously served as associate chair of the department of medicine, director of clinical affairs and section head of hospitalist medicine at LIJ Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y.
Dr. Barnett succeeds George Dunn, MD, who recently retired as senior vice president of medical affairs and chair of the department of family medicine at Glen Cove Hospital.
