Gila Regional Medical Center CNO to retire, replacement named

Patricia Sheyka, RN, CNO of Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, N.M., plans to retire at the end of August. Peggy White will replace her as CNO.

Ms. Sheyka has 53 years of healthcare experience and has served as CNO of GRMC since 2014.

When Ms. White takes over in September, her first focus will be on further implementing the Gila Nursing Excellence system, the hospital’s approach to retain and recruit nurses and improve the patient experience.
