Ilene Moore has been named executive vice president and chief legal officer of Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger.
Ms. Moore brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and government, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and complex litigation, according to a May 14 Geisinger news release.
She most recently served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Nashville, Tenn.-based Envision Healthcare. Before that, she spent six years with Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente and eight years with the Office of the Colorado Attorney General, where she focused on healthcare matters.
Geisinger employs 26,000 workers and operates 134 care sites — including 10 hospital campuses — and Geisinger Health Plan.
